The James Blake Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and awareness specifically for early diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We are proud to partner with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where the Thomas Blake Sr Memorial Fund was established by James, in memory of his father.
We are pleased to announce that we have exceeded our fundraising goals for 2010. Thank you to all who have helped to make this happen.
SERVING FOR A CURE (2011)
Join us on November 28th, this year for the annual Serving for a Cure fundraiser, which has been strongly supported by a diverse group of athletes, celebrities and distinguished members of the business community. This year marks the seventh annual Serving for a Cure event, which is once again being supported by an A-list group of athletes, celebrities and business leaders. Other fundraising activities that support the Blake Fund include the J-Block merchandise program supported by Fila (where 100% of the proceeds from all J-Block merchandise sales are donated to the Blake Research Fund) and a variety of corporate matching programs. SERVING FOR A CURE (2010)
The sixth annual Serving For A Cure event presented by Empire BlueCross BlueShield was another tremendous success. Lincoln Center made a perfect back drop for the tennis elite to join James on his mission to raise funds and awareness for early diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Jim Courier was on hand to emcee the event while Mardy Fish, Bob and Mike Bryan, Justin Gimelstob and John and Patrick McEnroe showed their support as well. This was the first year there was no tennis but instead the entertainment was music. Musician Ryan Leslie performed before Patti LaBelle, who came straight from her Broadway show, took the stage and closed the show with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

We assembled a great team of friends and loyal supporters who will be hitting the streets of New York covering all 5 boroughs on November 6th in hopes of raising money and awareness for early detection cancer research.
